Smile Info on DH's blood tests

Hi,
I would like to get some opinions on my husbands recent bloodwork. His total cholesterol was 258 with tri's at 379- HDL-40 and LDL- 142. He needs to lose about 30 pounds and during all this bloodwork they found he is borderline hypo. He will get tested again in 3 months and he has a strong family history of hashimotos. I would like to help him out over the summer and he is willing to listen to me. I dont know if he will go all out LC but he may do a semi LC. I already do whole grains for him and the children but I am not sure what else I could do. Thanks!!

Hypo... thyroid? Hypo... glycemia? I'm assuming thyroid.

His triglycerides will come down if he goes low carb and sticks to it. Low thyroid will cause cholesterol to go up. Grains are terrible for cholesterol.

Sorry I meant hypothyroid! Just used to typing hypo only! I am hoping that he will go all the way with me on LC but I dont know. It would make it easier for us both to eat the same things!
