Default Questions

Hi all! My boyfriend is coming home from the hospital this week, he has been there for a little over a year. He is coming home with more medical problems than he went in with.

He had some very serious episodes in the hospital caused by high blood pressure which in turn caused a couple of seizures, the high blood pressure is back to normal but we are still dealing with the aftermath. His blood sugars are very much out of control, they have been giving him insulin and now have put him on metforman. He is doing the best he can to low carb in the hospital (hospital food and there ignorance i will save for another post) but will continue low carb when he gets home. He also gained 30 pounds over the last year.

I know that he is deficient in d3 and will get him started on that.

What is the best multivitamin?
what is the name of the test that i can have his doctor run to see his magnesium levels and d3 levels.
Any suggestions on other supplements i should start him on? and should I have him tested to see what vitamins he is deficient in?

thanks in advance for your suggestions!!

~Heather~
