soya milk
It never occurred to me to try soya milk... I'd always assumed it would taste awful.
But I was looking for almond milk in my mini-Tesco, and couldn't find it, but saw the soya, so thought I'd just check out the nutrition label.
WOW.... 0.1g carbohydrate per 100ml??? It had to be tried.
So Im drinking a glass of it now and it tastes pretty good. You just have to get the idea out of your head that it tastes like cow's milk, cos it doesn't, but it still tastes nice. I haven't tried it in tea yet... that'll be the next test. But I think it will be fab with my 'chai tea' flavour sugar-free syrup.
By the way, the one I'm referring to is the Alpro Light (unsweetened) soya milk. Even the 'subtly sweet' (as it said on the label) was lower carb than cow's milk, but I decided to go for this one instead.
