HA! Gabby has been staying outside overnight since it's been warm. DH always checks to see if she wants in before he comes to bed, but she just loves it outside. She came in this morning for breakfast and now wants back out. Hey...she's 14....we let her do what she wants. You all know she runs this house!

I had a really good round of golf yesterday. Went from a horrible score on Monday to one of my best yesterday.....what a game. That's what makes it so frustrating when I play poorly....I know I can do it...WTH happens on those bad days?

Interview at 2pm. I don't want to get my hopes up! This position has 2 weeks of interviews. Tons of people want it. I am feeling every bit of 58 years old right now in the job market.

I also have an appointment right after that to hit up a high end consignment shop. I have a large tub of 30 outfits I don't wear anymore. Whatever they don't take is going directly to the Goodwill! I cleaned out my closest and it feels amazing!
I have been meaning to go through the closet for several months! Some stuff still has tags on them and never worn! Time to go! LOLOL

I was looking at beach rentals for next week! HOLY SMOKES- Nothing under 2k-...... I might need to put that idea on hold. When did prices shoot up like that?????

Feeling good! Actually, feeling great. I lost all but 1 pound of the weight gained and bloat. ALMOST back to my new low.
I am back to my happy go lucky, single and freedom mood!

HAHAH - I think we all have days that seem like bummers. Thankfully those don't hang on me long! All is well.

Just a puttering around day today. Woke up to t-storms and heavy rain. We had planned to take the day off from golf anyway, but could do without the storms! Nothing like the terrible storms in the mid-west. I don't know how you deal with something like that.

I'm going to do some cooking today.....bacon and meatballs. I always have cooked bacon on hand and DH wants spag & meatballs for dinner. I also have a mountain of laundry to handle.

That's it from here. Still hear thunder rumbling in the distance. I think it's supposed to clear out later this morning.

I ALMOST typed WED!!! - Lordy I need a job! LOL

Lori- I saw that regarding those Midwest storms! So scary. We take so much for granted in that we rarely get those type of storms. However, when I lived in Ohio they did. I remember many times taking the kids to the basement! I think also it is only getting worse with climate change. It is a real thing.

I love a good putter day. I am doing laundry today as well!

I love the smell of a pot roast on those putter days!

Nic- You are in the full swing of a holiday weekend with a full house and THEN SOME! LOLOL- Escape here if ya want a break! LOL LOVE the family time!

I followed up with the HR lady regarding the interview from yesterday. I am just waiting for the "Dear John" letter. It didn't go well. I didn't have the "look".
I was afraid of that before I even went, and I was right. I really wanted that job too!
But they are looking for someone who... how to say this and not get tossed off here....... LOL ... is of the same racial descent of those they are working with. I will leave it at that.

Got my office cleared out and ready for "my" work. I had work files all over the place, pens, papers, it needed cleaned out.

I will take a look at the job boards today and see what is shaking there. I have the travel recruiters emailing and texting me. I so do not what to take another travel gig unless I just absolutely have too. My wallet will tell me! LOLOL

I ask my DS if he would start walking with me over his lunch hour a few times a week. I need to move more! It would help hold me to the fire to get a P to walk with. So, I will meet him today. Walking is a great place to start!

WOE- Chicken and beef burgers today. Easy peasy.

Hi all

Just a quick check in from me today- Youngest has graduated college, three for three, done and done. Well, DS25 still has a little in his account toward his law school but the MONEY part is done and everyone has at least an undergrad degree. Hooray!

So it is now no longer five 22 year olds plus DS22, but EIGHT (including DS22, I think) which is just insane. There will be male bodies from floor to rafter quite literally! OMG. I will be nibbling gummies or drinking myself silly, one or the other, over the next couple of days!

Book club tonight, didn't finish the book. Close but not quite.

Lori yea those big storms can be scary. I don't like when the thunder hits low and shakes the house. But I do still love watching a big storm, I find them fascinating. Gabby being outside is a good thing right HA

No, kiddo ain't out of the dog house yet, that really irked me on that behavior truly leaving that other vehicle even tho it wasn't damaged.....so I am on her butt now for doing tons of chores and she is still doing them as I ask. She washed a sink of dishes and folded some laundry and other things and she goes, I did enough now right and I am like heck no.....you think that covers like a grand for your car body work? I don't know what income per hr she is thinking she is earning here lol but next is she is going to power wash the house. my vinyl is getting a bit streaky so needs a good pressure power wash and she is on deck to do that.

At this point truly why bother with a part time job? She has a full week in Orlando end of July and goes back to Uni in more early Aug. so to bother a work place for like 4-5 wks worth of work and quit for back to college isn't worth it to me. I said forget a p/t job this summer and since you are still on punishment for your crimes I am still gonna make her do bigger work around here. whatever kinda thing...ugh...lol

A beautiful day on tap! I have coerced DH to come and play golf with me. My normal partner is playing in a tournament today with some friends she used to work with, so I was at loose ends. I don't know if he's thrilled about it, but he's gonna do it! He always says he's going to start playing again, but always drags his feet when I give him the opportunity. Sigh......

Weekend weather looks good except for Monday....wouldn't you know...that's when our Couple's tournament is at the club. My little 85 year old partner doesn't like to play golf in the rain. Who does? I don't know what they'll do....cancel....reschedule, or just play on. Whatever. Playing in the rain is not fun, but I've done it before.

Well, DH says he's going to play, so I'll pack us a cooler with snacks and away we'll go. We don't have a tee time until 11, so he's going to go to the park for a couple hours and then come home and change clothes and grab his clubs. I'm sure he'll play well...he's a natural.

TRIG- - Cool beans on getting chores out of the Kiddo. I think that is totally fair. You could even take the total of the car repair ie... 1000.00 and then place a dollar amount per chore. That way she can see the value of the cost and money. Just a thought.

I don't have any real plans yet. I have had something going every weekend for the last few weeks, so it is nice to not have anything I HAVE to do!

Going to get a walk in for sure. I felt pretty out of shape on my walk yesterday! My DS was like OMG mom are you ok? LOLOL Yup just so out of shape! Turning that around! I need to put the SLOTH animal away!

WOE- I am thinking taco bowl! (no chips) - meat, boiled eggs, salsa, and lactose free sour cream (I have not tried it yet). I will "see" how that goes! LOL
