I only feel pain in my hands when I'm trying to fall asleep. The pain seems to be more in the palm of my hands, than the joints of my fingers, is that a symptom of diabetic nerve pain?

It could be. I have neuropathy in my feet from chemotherapy and it affects the soles more than the joints.

Incidentally, I've found that Benfotiamine and Alpha lipoic acid does wonders. I take 600 mg of ALA twice a day and 500 mg of benfotiamine twice a day, Doctor's Best and Life Extension brands respectively.

I have been having am blood sugar of 103-115. I took 400 mgs of Alpha lipoic acid last night and woke up with a 67 blood sugar...
