carb cycling
Hi I didn't know exactly where to put this, I figured Atkins was one of the most read parts of the forum. I am interested in packing on mass as well as burning off some fat. A friend of mine who is into body building suggested a carb cycling routine. Could anyone give me some advice on this. What concerns me is that I was under the impression that going in and out of ketosis was not a good thing. He talked about using a ketogenic state to burn fat, but also using carb loading to fuel a workout. Below is a sample of what he talked about.
Day Workout type Diet
Sunday: 30'+ of low intensity cardio in Ketogenic
morning to establish ketosis
Monday: Tension weight training workout Ketogenic
Tuesday: Tension weight training workout Ketogenic
Wed/Thu: cardio optional for fat loss Ketogenic
Fri: Full body workout Ketogenic prior to workout
Begin carb-load after
workout
Saturday: No workout Carb load
Any help would be great...
