Default Stocking the kitchen for low carb dieting

Before I began my diet, I made sure that I had proper weighing and measuring implements:

digital kitchen scale
full set of dry measuring cups
liquid measuring cups
full set of measuring spoons

I purged my cabinets and refrigerator of all ingredients and foods that would not be allowed on a low carb diet. My mother took what she wanted and we discarded the rest.

Then I looked at many, many low carb receipes (mainly sweet treats) and made a list of the unusual ingredients (natural sweeteners, natural thickeners, nut flours, etc.) that many of them used, and I ordered the majority of them from netrition.com. Some items I found locally.

My list included:
Item ID Brand Product Size Price Item
121-0019 Da Vinci Sugar Free Syrup, Vanilla (plastic) FREQUENT USE
121-0048 Da Vinci Sugar Free Syrup, Pineapple NEVER USE
153-0064 NOW Xylitol Sweetener 1 lb. RARELY USE
153-0118 NOW Vegetable Glycerine 16 fl oz NEVER USE
153-0209 NOW Erythritol Granular 1 lb. RARELY USE
219-0004 Tova Carbalose Flour 3 lb. bag RARELY USE (wheat)
244-0004 LifeSource Foods Oat Fiber 500 1 lb. (454g) USE
244-0005 LifeSource Foods Wheat Protein Isolate 5000 USE
400-0001 Konjac Foods Konjac Glucomannan Powder FREQUENTLY USE
05-0569 Biochem 100% Whey Protein Powder, Natural OCCASIONAL USE
230-0001 Bob's Red Mill Almond Meal/Flour FREQUENTLY USE
230-0013 Bob's Red Mill Coconut Flour, Organic 1 lb. OCCASIONAL USE
230-0003 Bob's Red Mill Flaxseed Meal, Golden Organic OCCASIONAL
230-0044 Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Oat Flour, Whole Grain OCCASIONAL
230-0034 Bob's Red Mill Soy Flour, Whole Grain, Organic RARELY USE
230-0015 Bob's Red Mill Xanthan Gum 8 oz. RARELY USE
153-0134 NOW Guar Gum Powder 8 oz. OCCASIONAL USE
219-0002 Tova Carbquik Bake Mix 3 lb. box RARELY USE

Items that I bought locally included:
unsweetened cocoa
unsweetened coconut
coconut oil
olive oil
sesame oil
aluminum-free baking powder
splenda (packets and granulated)
stevia (packets and liquid)
nuts (for snacking and ingredients)
unsweetened jello
Atkins shakes (to make pudding)
HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM

Having these ingredients available has most certainly kept me on my diet as I can make a sweet treat at any given moment. Many of them are also used in main dishes.

Of course, the absolute backbone of a low carb diet consists of wholesome meats, vegetables and oils which are readily available in a local grocery store. This is just a list of the extras that make dieting seem like it's not really a diet.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL THAT YOU TAKE A GOOD MULTI-VITAMIN AND OTHER ESSENTIAL SUPPLEMENTS WHEN YOU ARE ON A LOW CARB DIET.

I think you can use the glycerine as a moisturizer.
