Hi, I have been away for a bit. Took a break from the boards and sort of a break from dieting, bad willpower mostly. As of the 11th I had gained a lb or so from the last weigh in. I still have 15 lbs to lose by the end of the year, which is doable. So hopefully I will make my goal for this year.

I guess I'm completely frustrated. My husband lost his job on Sept. 1 and I just lost focus. Ended the year eating like an idiot, somehow thinking that I could at least maintain. Unfortunately, anything above about 20 carbs a day puts me back in a carb craving spiral. I ended the year eight pounds up from where I started, I think. Unbelievable. New Year's resolutions, at least, are one way to feel like there's hope in starting over. Anyone think we should try this again?

I got off track and tried several times to get back on. I finally did around the second week in November. I have a net loss of 12 pounds for the year. I'm continuing on.

I had a net loss of 48 lbs this year. Although I did not reach my official 70lb goal I did very well as long as I keep it up this year and get back on track. I kinda hit a wall around August after the State Fair, then the holidays were terrible. I hope to do alot better with them this year; even if I am not losing, I hope to maintain better at that point.

I would love to join this! I am a newbie again... starting over.
I'd maintained my goal weight for a couple of years, then had some health issues during which I completely got off track.
I started back lo-carbing it on Dec. 13 at 194 lbs. and have made it back down to 179 so far with a goal weight of 140.

I really like the idea of having small incremental goals to help keep me on my course.
