I am looking at it like you Dahlia, not that I didn't make it but how far I have come this year. I might not make my 50 pounds but it will be close. (Dang cookies today). Have a Merry Christmas my fellow losers!

I am going to post here in the next few days everyone who was in the original challenge, that first month of January who said they wanted to be in it!

Wow my weigh in was awesome this morning. 177.5 which means I only have 1 pound to go to make my 50 pounds lost in 2004 challenge. I have one weigh in left and I plan on making it, but if I don't I will have done well this year and made some great friends. Happy Holidays my friends!

Well, my turtle isn't moving much this month... in fact... I think it should move back one step...YIKES.

I am so glad I have these forums to come back to to get on track. I'll get through tonight, and have my pie too, and then Darrell and I got stuff at the store to get me started again this weekend.

I'm not going to shoot for 50 next year, more like 40. I've learned so much this year about my body and what works for me. I'm still not mad at myself for not making the 50 pounds I mean after all from Dec 14 last year to Dec 15 this year I lost 37.25 pounds. I'm hoping to just maintain for next weeks weigh in and be 255.5 or below, so for my TOPS club year (My weight loss support group) I will be down 30 for the year.

My big challenge for the year on these forums for next year will be a 40 pound loss. Then in 2006 before my birthday I will be sure to have my 100 pound loss for my 50th birthday.

I've done so much better than in the past by setting smaller goals for the year. This thread in itself has kept me going this year.

This is the lowest weight I've been at for years, and I've stayed in the 250's for a couple of months, this is a first for me. So my next mini goal is to get into the 240's and stay there for a while.

by the way, Happy Holidays everyone.

I MADE IT!!!! I did it everyone. Blew right past 147 to 146 so thast makes it 51 pounds lost for 2004. I am so happy. I went through a stage back in the middle of the year where I was failing to make it through all my challenges. This proves somehting for me too. What people say is correct. I lost 50 pounds in the first 6 months on this woe and it took me almost to the day 12 months to loose the next 50. And you know what, aside from starting excercise sooner, I probably wouldn't change a thing.

Wow.. the year is really almost over. It's so hard to believe.

In the last few days, we should all post our losses for the year and then we can total them.

I'm not sure how many of us are left here... but I think 2 fur sure made it... and maybe 3.

Some of us did our best.. but didn't quite made it, but have a victory in the fact that we lost something this year!!!!

Well this will be about the last time I post here. Doesn't seem possible that we are at the end of this challenge. I did not make the 50 pounds in 2004. Only had 1 pound to go and then last week hit! Gained 4! But on the plus side I did lose 45 pounds in 2004 and that I am proud of. There was a few of us that stuck this challenge out until the end and I feel really close to those who did. I hope to see you all in the next challenge's. Hope 2005 is good to all my friends in this challenge! LOVE YA!
