drink water
though it's counterintuitive, drink more water. your body is holding onto it b/c you could be limiting your intake, hence the edema. diuretics and perhaps some herbs will get rid of water, but you will end up being even more dehydrated in the long run. you want to lose fat, not water.

I don't know if you are answering me...or someone else on this thread...but I drink at least a gallon of water daily. I still need the herbs, taurine and B6 to eliminate the fluids and keep the edema away. I've recently started taking dandelion leaf in capsule form...and am finding this to be more effective than the prescription diuretic I eliminated last year. I am also up to 2 grams (four capsules) of L-Carnitine Tartrate per day....and as long as I get enough sleep at night...it keeps me energized quite well.
I'm still low carb...but now doing it as a pesco-vegetarian....because I figured that I'm probably one of those people who need to watch the type of fat and calories I bring into my body...and the only way I can know for sure and keep tabs on my fat intake is to eliminate the meat...because I can't accurately count it all unless it's gone...so I can put in the amounts and types of fat I want there. I still eat fish because it's more of a "good" fat...and I need that. I haven't weighed myself all month as an experiment...and will weigh again near the first of January...and report the progress in my journal.
