If they are canned they are already cooked.

Heat them with some butter and
throw them on top of a good steak.

Rinse them first to get rid of the "tin" taste.

As suggested--heat them in some sizzling butter, add some smashed garlic, some pepper, and a splash of white wine. Serve over a nice big fat juicy steak

I have a feeling that if you're up to the challenge, we're going to make a cook out of you.

Keep going. Keep experimenting. Keep the pics and the questions coming.

Progress not perfection.

Lisa

(PS--I needed the picture on this one...from the title I took it that there was only one mushroom in the can--I had never seen THAT before, I thought it was just a gi-normous mutant mushroom--and as I see it was a can of mushrooms )

Sautee some sliced (think noodles) cabbage lightly, set aside

Sautee some bacon, add a bunch of mushrooms, reduce heat.

From here two easy choices, add garlic some hvy cream, reduce slightly, toss in some parm and/or romano cheese, toss in cabbage for mock alfredo ... option two is to stir in some sour cream, some beef flavor (I use minors beef base) and a splash of burgundy wine, add in cabbage for mock stroganoff, beef is optional but this is a good way to get rid of many types of leftover meat cuts

to me canned mushrooms almost have a "noodle" like feel/texture to me when I eat them, so I would experiment using multiple cans of them like a "macaroni" substitute.

MMMM...mushroom alfredo here I come!

I recently added volume to a Faux Fried rice recipe by using 3 cans of really well drained(I used the can top to press really hard on the mushrooms while holding the cans over the sink to get rid of the water) and it was fabulous!
