I'm tellin ya .. I have SO much to learn. Okay guys - any suggestions on what i could have that's quick and light and effective that early in the morning on my way to the gym? Do you do protein bars or shakes or anything? I am trying to keep to whole foods whenever possible but I think it's prally ok to have a bar/shake during the day. I have taken a liking to the Pria bars .. any thoughts?

How about doing a small low-carb whey shake before you lift - maybe about 25g protein, say as you're heading out the door to get to the gym? You'll want it to have a chance to get into your system for when you're lifting, and 25g won't be enough to mess you up for the cardio later. Whey metabolizes very quickly, so this should do the trick.
