As the saying goes, "Youth is wasted on the young." Too bad most of us, male or female, take so darn long to learn the really important lessons in life. I could have saved myself a lot of grief if I knew then what I know now!

Designers could care less how thin the models are. As long as they fit into the itty-bitty sample sizes and can walk good enough in it, they'll be hiring thin models until the end of time. Making the sizes bigger is not an option either because that means using up more of that $9,000 a yard fabric and when you're a designer, you're trying to spend as little as possible while making the line look as expensive as possible. Hope that made sense!
