Unhappy Question about CAD please help

I am about 99.9% sure that I am switching back to CAD. I have ordered myself a new book but I won't get it for several days and I don't want to wait. The CAD book is the older one and I was wondering if you can have A.s. if they don't slow your weight loss. I think I had them when I first did cad and lost weight but don't really remember. I know the coffee with cream only once thing will be alittle more difficult for me but I must do that. It is worth it right?

I have started today and have done a good job of planning so far. The whole family ate a CM and they don't even know it

Do any of you have the program book? I ordered it online and can't wait to get it.

Best thing about tonight... I am going to have rice. Something I have wanted for a long time.

Hi Karen,

Congrats on joning CAD. I have the CAD and CALP book. In answer to your question about AS, I think it is an individual thing. I know in the CAD book the Heller's don't stress the AS too much. The CALP book they do. They tell you not to have it. My opinion is to try it and see what hapens. If you start to have cravings or you find that you are not losing weight, make that the first thing that you drop off of your diet. I always think starting the CAD plan a person should be as liberal as possible and than start to tweek if you are not losing weight.

Good luck. You will do just fine.

Dianee thanks for your quick reply. I will do that. I had coffee with a peice of cheese for my snack. Is that ok or does it have to be with my RM? Sorry to bother... And thanks again!

I am really excit6ed to start this plan! Can't wait for the weeks to come. That is something I haven't felt in some time on atkins!

Hi Karen,

You probably should try to do away with the snack if at all possible. Of course the first few days, have that snack if you need it. With the CAD plan you can throw in a snack if you are losing more than 2 lbs per week. On the CALP plan you can have a snack. It should be 1/2 protein and 1/2 LC veggies.

I think as you go along you will find that you really don't have the desire to snack. The Heller's did say in one of their books, (Ican't remember which one) that at first they would rather see you snack than to get so hungry you go off of plan.

Don't stress too much about eating the cheese. See what happens. You might do just fine by eating a snack.
