I've heard that a lot lately from many people...I tend to not say anything, but if they press, I'll usually tell them MY story and that tends to shut them up quickly.

There is defintely a "fear factor" at work when you run into someone who is so opposed to the LC WOE.

They are afraid that all those snackwells they have been eating have really been making them fatter, that they have been starving themselves for no good reason, that the special K diet does not work and that everything they know about "dieting" has all been a "Big Fat Lie".

They console themselves by thinking that counting points makes them morally superior to someone who snacks on pork rinds and cream cheese.

I usually stay out of these type of conversations at work and the store (unless someone comes to me for info) because well, my results speak for themselves.
