Talking ~Sugar Free Pie~

I went to Reno, NV the other weekend and when I passed the sweets table I was happy to see they had sugar free pie. I'm not sure if we're allowed to eat that or how many carbs they actually have. I thought one slice won't hurt. One slice soon became almost 1 pie. Honestly, No Joke. It tasted so good.

I was mortified thinking I was sure to gain pounds in the next few days. To my surprise I actually still kept loosing and didn't gain a thing.

Is sugar free pie a good thing or did I just get lucky and not gain when I really should have.

You got lucky, this time. Maybe without the pie you would have lost more, but one can never know what could have been. Some people do experience a whoosh of weight loss after a cheat, but it is a sometimes thing. Best not to get into the habit of it. Sugar free it may have been but you don't know what the other ingrediants were.

My husband is on maintenance and he indulges in SF Jello chocolate pudding regularly (which is kinda like a pie filling) which has 14g/serving. You don't say what kind of pie it was, or whether or not you ate the crust....but you can probably assume that it had at least 20-25g of carbs. If it was a SF fruit pie, it would be around 40g/serving. If you ate 4+ servings you had maybe as much as 160g of carbs. This kind of indulgence every once in blue moon will not stall your weight loss, but it certainly can if you make it a regular part of your "diet".
