Default Winnipeggers - Get together?

Morning everybody...

I'm sitting here reading through the posts and am starting to get a little jealous. Everybody in other cities are getting together except us! We tried back in January and of the people who said they could make it, there were only two people who showed up. Ray and I (or is it me?) Oh well, time to try again.

Anybody interested? Weekends are the best bet for us, unless you want to begin with coffee during a weeknite. Ray is a Transit driver and he starts driving at 5:45 am, so he usually has to be in bed by 9:00. We go anywhere in the city. Suggestions?

The Smitty's on Regent is advertising a low carb menu. We tried it out last week. At least they are trying, but I think they drummed up the menu without doing any real research just to get on the band wagon. One of their breakfast offerings comes with dark rye toast. The night we were there, the veggie they were offering was carrots! They added extra tomato and cucumber slices for us instead. I had citrus balsamic chicken and Ray had un-breaded ribs. Wasn't too bad but the chicken tasted sweeter than it should have been and their cesar salad was very good.

Anyway, thoughts?
