I didn't lose every week. There were several good stalls in there, some lasting as long as 9 weeks with no movement. You just have to ride it out!

Long story short, my exercise was pretty minimal. I had to have spinal surgery 3 months in, and was on bedrest the month prior and following. When I started PT, my therapist tore my right hamstring (2nd degree tear) on my second visit. 10 more weeks down. In July, My gallbladder shut down causing me massive attacks and got infected. No activity - August 20, finally had surgery for that and was down for 2 weeks while healing. So..it's been less than regular to say the least. I did exercise when I could, but that's about all I can say about it. When I do, I give it 100%, but I've had some roadblocks come up that have kept me from doing what I want.

I do weight training every other day now, and I run 3 times a week (training for my first 5k). I was also doing this once healed from my torn hammy. In the early days, it was mostly cardio in the form of walking or my eliptical.

I was having caffine when I started. I was a Diet Coke addict, and usually had an iced cofee in the morning. Once I got around the 60lbs mark, it did start to slow me down. I trialed not having it in the early stages, and added it back with no change in loss. When I elminated it the second time, I started losing again after being stalled for 9 weeks. I've not gone back to it since.

Thanks for advice RE caffeine Krystl - SInce I only have about 15 pounds to lose I think I'm going to stop the caffeine.. also I have a few skin problems that coffee is not meant to be good for - Atkins himself says on page 127 that it should be avoided for those who suspect they're dependent on it - which I definitely am!
