This is an ancient thread. Yes eating good, whole foods is more expensive than eating cheap carbs. Sadly our government subsidizes cheap carbs. Not sure where you live, but eggs are still a bargain here. I sometimes make myself bowl muffins with coconut flour (coconut flour, egg, baking powder mixed in a bowl and microwaved until done, about 1.2 minutes). Then I saw it open and slip a fried egg in there and top with mayo and mustard. YUM!
