What a fascinating thread! I love reading everyone's input!

I've been overweight my entire life - I remember being sent to first grade with a plain salad for lunch.

Have tried every diet out there; fasting, grapefruit, Weight Watchers... No matter how much I exercised and followed the rules, had minimal, FRUSTRATING results.

In my mid 50's discovered I have thyroid issues, and just diagnosed with pre-diabetes.

Recently saw a friend who'd lost 58 lbs and looks wonderful!! How? Atkins! Next day, I bought a book and started.

I'm thrilled to say, I'm losing weight!!

Just read Taubes book; "Why We Get Fat" - holy cow! What an epiphany! Suddenly, everything makes sense!!

To quote Scarlet O'Hara: " As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again."
OR allow myself to fall back to my old WOE!
