I did all right on low-fat/low-cal in the 90s. Lost 50lbs and felt fine. MAJOR exercise as a component of that. But speaking of unsustainable. Well, you know.

Atkins (circa 1998) got me to a better place, and I've never swerved from my loyalty to LC, even with inevitable ups and downs.

I've come to know--or perhaps just believe--that sugar is the big culprit, and also the massive combination of fat, sugar, and starch that makes up most fast food, snack foods, and wheat products (pizza and pasta).

When I eat raw celery now, I add a shmear of organic sugar-free peanut butter. Much better, don't you think?
