Just FYI, in North America (in Canada we use metric quite a bit more than in the US) 250ml is commonly used as a 1-Cup / 8 Fluid Ounces equivalent. So the measures -- such as measuring spoons and measuring cups -- are 'standardized' for easier-to-remember numbers, and aren't precisely equivalent.
