Montignac is less about a blanket statement of Low Carb is bad. It is more about pick which carbs are ok, and which you should avoid.

It is very similar to the zone, sommersizing etc etc, as these plans were pretty much based on Montignac.

koko posted a good summary of the plan on this forum, in addition, check out this website for more information on the Glycemic Index and Gylcemic Load principles - the foundation of all these plans.

The emphasis in Montignac is not to put the body in ketosis, like Atkins etc, as this isn't good for the long term in their opinion. I don't want to get into a huge debate about whether ketosis is good or not.

I would check out Montiganc's books, ot the New Glucose Revolution - which is easier to understand in my opinion to Montiganc's books.

Hope this helps.
