I do the same thing. I come with a list of sale items from the flyer, but walk the same circuit every week past the frozen wild salmon and chubs of ground GF beef, bison, lamb, turkey & chicken, which often will be on an unadvertised special and typically stock up on 4-8 lbs each of whatever is on sale, then past the fresh meats and canned fish. I rarely buy protein at full price and always have several choices stocked in my freezer. Though my meat guy smiles when he sees me - they should all welcome their best real meat customers in a Beyond Meat world. They also sell imperfectly shaped/sized eggs in flats of 20 or 30 that few people buy. Once I got a flat of all huge double-yolked eggs for 1/3 the price of an equivalent number of matched eggs in cartons!
