Atkins' frozen meals are not available in Canada. They're only advertised on Atkins' US site .. not the Cdn. site .. http://www.atkins.ca/products

They were test-marketed in a few larger Cdn. centres a couple of years ago, I believe through Super Walmart stores. They didn't exactly fly off freezer shelves, and also the products were more expensive here due to increased packaging costs .. eg. labels must be both English and French, plus our laws are different/stricter regarding net carb claims, ingredient disclosure etc. So they cancelled any further sales here.

In addition to the other suggestions above, don't forget there are restaurants who will deliver hot meals to your door. Swiss Chalet (a personal favourite ) has several low-carbable options. You could order two or three dinners at one time .. eat one hot and refrigerate the others to reheat later. Each meal comes in a microwaveable plastic tray with plastic utensils and paper napkins .. everything can be thrown in the garbage afterward, no need to stand at the sink washing dirty dishes. They offer lowcarb sides such as grilled vegetables or a salad instead of potatoes or rice. When ordering, just ask them to not include the bun, but be sure to ask for extra butter pats and sour cream

Here's a link to their menu ... https://www.swisschalet.com/menu?gc...CFRCsaQodSZUAEA ..
You can order online. Also, the Nutrition tab at the top of the page will provide you with carb counts

A quick, easy protein breakfast (or any meal, really) ... no cooking expertise required ... microwave scrambled eggs with cheese. All you need are: eggs, butter, a bag of pre-shredded cheese and a large coffee or soup mug. Put a small knob of butter in the mug and microwave on High for 20 seconds, or until it's melted. Break 2 eggs into the mug and stir with a fork to scramble a bit. Microwave for 30 seconds, take it out and add a handful of pre-shredded cheese. Stir it again (will still be liquid in the middle). Nuke for another 30 seconds to 1 minute, until cooked through. Add salt and pepper to taste, stir again and eat. Just be careful as the melted cheese will be very hot! Only one mug and one fork to wash!

Want a serving of veggies to go with those easy-peasy scrambled eggs? V-8 juice is a great lowcarb option . I buy the low-sodium version in 156ml cans .. comes as a 6-pack. Per can, there are 7g carbs minus 2g fiber = 5 net carbs.

All the best for a speedy recovery from the surgery
