Default Whey or Egg Protein shakes

Once upon a time, I did the 6-week program suggested by the Dr's Eades which included 2-weeks of home-made shakes (for the middle-aged middle)

At the time, I was making my shakes with whey protein - and that's what I have left in the cupboard (EAS 100% protein)

Before I go shopping, I would like pros and cons for whey versus egg protein as the basis for shakes. Is it personal preference? Allergies? Stalled weight loss?

Or is there any difference at all? Both are manufactured
