I don't want to be an alarmist, but there are medical reasons for pitting edema
Have you considered taking this picture to your physician
Personally, I think it would be wise to have this checked out
Or, if you are under house arrest - as I am - perhaps you could send him/her the picture and ask for advice.
You may be referred to blood work
My feet and hands swell in the heat too - but are never pitting.
