Default Study using Vegetarian diet nets great weight loss, a Ted Talk

I expected good, scientific data....then it all fell apart.

Blood sugar was only lab test to monitor health. No other blood tests mentioned.

Totally side steps our enlarged brains which created hunting tools, and made fire readily available. WHICH assisted with procuring meat, prepping it and cooking it. Making it bioavaiable. We didnt need big teeth. I suspect, as I have two boys, that early hunting was as simple as a sharpened stick and digging a rabbit out of its hole, or a ground hog.

There are monkeys that eat meat. One is the baboon. And do check out the teeth on a baboon !! Somewhere along the evolutionary process we didnt need big canines and long dog- like jaw to chew off a hunk of meat like my dog does, turning head sideways to get cutting teeth in the action.

I dont have flat grinding teeth, molars designed to grind up vegetation. The dentist doesnot float my teeth. This is dental work for horses which by the way are dedicated herbivores.

My teeth are somewhat like a dogs, and somewhat like a horse..... somewhere in between. Not specialized for one or the other but both.

This Ted talk sounded good until I looked at each point. All cherry picked. Which made me question the science behind the study.

Basically left me thinking slowly starving was ok. Not in my book. Good health is MY goal, not just weight loss.
