Shopping Update:

My local store had several 'top shelf' butter options-the KerryGold was pretty reasonably priced but the packaging for for Vital Farms caught my eye and I ended up getting a package of that https://vitalfarms.com/our-pasture-raised-butter/

Ones that I put on my 'to try later list'-Greenfields Irish butter, which is from grass-fed cows but I don't know if they're pasture raised? Danish Creamery, Eauropean style butter that's pasture raised, and then there was a big roll of Amish Country Roll Butter that caught my eye, but after I got home I did some quick research and it's pretty much a marketing gimmick, and it's a typical, Land O' Lakes kind of butter. Crossed that one off my list!

I also got Ghee at Aldi, used it for the first time yesterday to sautee veggies and I could definitely taste it on the mushrooms, when I used Land O' Lakes butter with canola oil, there was no flavoring at all. I liked the taste and will definitely be making ghee a staple of my kitchen
