I'm doing Maintenance for some time now (3 years), but I'm almost 75 and if I were to go back to eating the old way, I'd gain it all back +++++. For me this is not a diet but a Way of Life. It's what my body requires to remain healthy and pain free.

The cost of giving up "eating for fun" is worth it for me.

I have read some of your posts and I'm so impressed with how you are maintaining. I love what you said about giving up "eating for fun." That is a great way to describe one of the things I struggle most with. I can handle the meals, but the urge for "recreational eating" is what gets me. I need to follow your lead, and just accept that recreational eating is not worth the cost to my health and my body.
