Default upper airway infection, antibiotics? Gi disturbance

For the last 2 weeks I had major coughing, sore throat, fever up to 103, chills, nausea, nasal congestion, fatigue. I called the nurse line today and they told me to go to urgent care.

I went to the dr 2 weeks ago and she said my throat was red, but no diagnosis or anything. This time the time dr said this is really abnormal and prescribed antibiotics.

I usually avoid ABs when possible, and dr google says this upper airway infection is usually the common cold. My roommate has this also and is still coughing too, but not as outright sick as I am.

I wouldn't take them except that I don't seem to be getting better and I'm desperate to get better.

I've been told that its all the fat in my usual diet that causes all the diarrhea I experience. Is there any magical dietary secret to making antibiotics digestible for the sensitive?
