After reading this whole thread, what strikes me the most is how overall healthy the lists sound. No processed, white flour gunk. Just whole, unprocessed real food. How can people think this is a terrible way to go? Its funny that someone mentioned shopping only the perimeter of the store. I never thought about it but it is so true. I still run through the cereal aisle for my kids but that is really about it.

They only things I can add are:

soy flour, for the occasional light breading or cheese cake crust
frozen blackberries (just started this thanks to Nat - use
sparingly with a little cream cheese, cream, and Spenda)
Splenda (just started this too)
pistachios (I'm avoiding these for a couple of weeks though)
frozen chopped broccoli (with lots of butter)
pork roast with saurkraut (a must with every weekly trip)
bagged salads with Kraft's shredded garlic/parmesan
cheese
pork rinds
string cheese
hot italian sausage (with no added sugar)
steaks and chicken breasts
and every now and then I allow myself some frozen meatballs for
a quick heat and eat treat (be careful of brands though,
some are very bready and high in carbs)
Diet Coke - still a must for me
Miller Lite - for my newly LCing hubby (and sometimes
me)

I'd love to try some almond cookies. Can you buy almond flour at the grocery store or do you have to go to a specialty store/make it on your own?

Loved seeing everyone's list. Take care!
