Toward the end, after success stories and new info on Heal Clinics, Dr Westman's talks about his meetings with Dr. Bernstein over the past 19 years. Dr. Bernstein at 82 still sees patients in his home in New York, but limits them to 20 and charges $600/hour. He assumes all his patients eliminate carbs (will fire you if not) and works to fine tune the other issues that can impact diabetes after carbs are limited to his 30 g plan (cortisol, sleep, etc). The recent discussion was how Heal Clinic can train more health care workers to heal diabetes to acceptable levels, but not manage everyone to exactly 83 BG.
