No reason why it shouldn't work; it's better than the cheap dressings and dips with questionable ingredients. That recipe looks similar to the Diet Doctor one that I use. I like that I can just make one or two servings here and there.

Their dip recipe uses sour cream and mayo, and their vinaigrette uses oil and vinegar. Lots of room for variation depending on your tastes.
