I also hate to get rid of things that were barely worn, expensive, or unique/original in style that won’t be appreciated. This spring I found a great way to deal with this...I’m now a size 12 (sometimes the odd size 10) and my sister in the last year have gained weight and her husband lost his job...so much stress! Anyway, i packed up one of those super-large suitcases with good clothes I didn’t want to “get rid of” but would be happy to give to my dear sister in a time she can’t afford new clothes and is stuck with just a few things to wear repeatedly to work! It was easy to do and no regrets because it helped someone...which made me think, I should also imagine the joy that someone with only a little cash would feel when she finds a good quality, unique garment that I’ve donated!
