I rarely use the cast iron, outside of frying chicken - but have had ours for over 10 years and only 'seasoned' it prior to the first use. Its in perfect condition.
Also - I second the outdoor grill / George Foreman as an LC necessity  I had to go 6 weeks without a grill recently, and while I found a couple oven dishes I really enjoy, was VERY happy to get a new one on the porch last weekend. |
