I saw the thread on "kon-stuh-pey-shuh n" which inspired me to write about the opposite condition, also extremely yuckky!

I have leaky gut and struggled with diarrhea now for a few years, particularly bad this last couple of years.

It seems to be under control now, I do a semi low carb diet which includes oatmeal, pumpkin puree, and sometimes almond butter. I've also had small amounts of applesauce.

I've lost about 10 pounds and was able to walk about 1/4 a mile today.

Usually when I try to eat veggies they would just fall out more or less undigested. But yesterday, after a month back on lowish carbing I was able to tolerate cooked onions and mushrooms. A salad? Forget it....cabbage, NO!

I'm eating a lot of gelatin and I read that oatmeal can help with digestion etc. I have hope that eventually I can eat more veggies. Also am able to tolerate some mayonnaise again now.

Wondering what other's experiences are like. It looks to me like change is possible unless your body is just too damaged to bounce back, but it takes your body time to adjust.

Does waiting longer between meals help? What about making meals smaller?

Thanks for listening
