"A 2017 study by Mary Beth Hall, an animal scientist at the US Dairy Forage Research Center, in Wisconsin, and Robin R White, a professor of animal and poultry science at Virginia Tech, concluded that the impact of eliminating all meat consumption would be very small. Modelling a US food system without animals, they found that total US emissions would be reduced by just 2.6 per cent, and this at some considerable cost to nutritional adequacy."

Questioning the "nutritional adequacy" of this approach must be in play. In order to consume an adequate amount of protein as we age, a plant-based or vegan proponent must consume processed foods fortified with additional plant protein and seed oils to achieve this, as plants alone don't provide easily convertible protein for humans. It's also interesting to note the adoption of climate propaganda in an attempt to convince those meat eaters who don't react to the ethical treatment of animals argument. Some will do anything to encourage the adoption of a misguided philosophy to achieve their goals. Unfortunately, it's working with many being scared enough to unknowingly adopt an unhealthy lifestyle. The elephant in the room? The catastrophic epidemic of metabolic diseases that have resulted in ever-increasing numbers of T2D, heart disease, CVD, inflammation, cancers, and many other afflictions since the earliest recommendations of the food pyramid promoting a plant-based approach.
