I would, and there are now many Cardiologists who prescribe it.
Dr Bret Scher, the Low Carb Cardiolgist, just posted this summary on the burden of heart disease, which tracks with obesity and diabetes. But if you follow the links in this article, you will find more of his work and more articles on low carb and heart disease: https://www.dietdoctor.com/heart-di...den-on-the-rise

Good Op-Ed in Washington Times by Cardiologist: Fatty foods don't cause heart disease, bread and pasta do -

Also look at the heart health sub-forum, many articles here too

There are other Cardiologists like Dr Eric Thorn, Dr Nadir Ali, (Podcast, https://vinnietortorich.com/2018/08...i-episode-1121/) etc. who do prescribe low carb.
My own doctor said in a recent talk that patients who need to lose weight while waiting for heart transplants are referred to him...from Cardiologists at one of the nation's top hospitals.

Ps, if your stats are correct you have been on this forum since 2015. A 50th birthday might be time to commit are you doing the Carnivore Diet now?
Something else? Need suggestions?
