  • That's the same book (Taubes) that I read to get started.
    I also flailed a bit the first few days.
    I also lost 7 lbs my first week.
    I too slowed after the first two weeks...hang in there!
    Still on Induction (the Appendix at the back of the book) after two months and losing 2-3 lbs a week
    Feel like a new, and much younger man (I'm 58)...

There have been a few bumps in the road...
  • I got the "Low Carb Flu" during my second week...felt like crap.
    I had to quit cycling for a week to let my body adapt.
    My weight loss stalled for three weeks after the two week point (but has resumed).
    My cloths are hanging on me like I'm dead...

Hang in there...it's worth it!
