It would seem that this is the conventional wisdom. But my experience with LC has taught me to sniff carefully and circle piles of conventional wisdom before trusting them. (90% of dieters regain, food pyramid, etc.) At this point I will settle for some good anecdotals and a little science. And a warm, wooly shirt . . .
