Wed Sept 4 - 30 min walk at wedding venue at arboretum
These bright flowers look like the poppy family to me but not sure...

The mammoth sunflowers are now top heavy with seeds and drooping...

Assortment of lavendar colored flowers...

Exquisite pale pink roses...

The roses on the trellis a few months ago are now abundanct rose hips...

Pretty yellow roses...

Another beautiful rose...

Golden berry bushes...

Cheerful community of daisies, they are always refreshing...

And their pink neighbors...

Turning leaves...

Some fall color and the Arboretum venue offices part of the house...

Pretty reflection in the pond...

More enthusiastic blooms...

Beautiful urn planter...

The antique statue guards the front door...

I really love the plantings in these urns...

A charming little side table along the trail...

The side of the house used for wedding ceremonies in nice weather...

A hydrangea tree...

The back of the lovely sprawling house...

The back terrace, where cocktails are served...

Grand elephant ear plants on the terrace...

A decorative spider web no doubt left because of Halloween coming, or did they just miss it?

Another planter along the front event rooms patio...

Bright red berries from a lone jack-in-the-pulpit...

Lovely autumn crocus...

Sun Sept 8 - 43
min walk around my old college campus in a nearby town and discovered a trail behind it open to the public - some cool discoveries back there. I doubt many people know about this trail - it was a great discovery.
Some pretty red roses - the kind that look like velvet in photos, the color is so saturated...

Nice perennial planting...

Very cheery flowers with Elizabethan-style collars...

Delicate flowers on slim stalks waving in the wind...

Little place to sit and relax (as much as you can at college)...

Climbing jasmine...

Multicolored changing leaves look like Mardi Gras colors...

Bright red leaves turning on the sumac...

Old abandoned barn...

I am guessing this is a lightning strike - nothing else is burned...

The path was partially blocked by overgrown wild roses full of rose hips...

Where the house used to be was a mint patch!

More outbuildings beyond the site of the house down the "road" now fallen down...

Debris left to the woods...

Late evening sun shooting a line into the woods...

Pretty Stella D'Oro lily...

These deceptively real looking baskets along the driveway are fake flowers... they serve the purpose...
