Default Old Rag Hike - Part 1

Kelsey and I finally did our Old Rag Mountain hike in the Shenandoah National Park. It is said to be one of the best hikes in the area and we've planned this trip no less than 5 times. A couple of times others in our party decided it was too tough, so we changed plans. Another time Google Maps brought us to the wrong trailhead, so we did another hike instead. And 3 weeks ago our plans got rained out. Saturday November 9th was cold and blustery -- but we managed to get the hike in. Now - 6 days later - I'm finally feeling fully recovered. It was described as a tough hike. It was.

A selfie before getting started

The first two miles were easy enough

Then it got tougher

And rougher still

But we made it to the summit with no problems at all
