Op, your post title had me waving my hand around going 'me, me, me!'

I've been working on weight management for around 8yrs now, and while most of that time has been in maintenance, I've tried just about everything along the way. I have come to realize though that managing carbs in some form is what works best for me, to make things bearable. I had a few years of focusing on calories/using a food scale to measure out everything etc and while I saw the results I wanted, it was a miserable experience.

With low carb I don't have to put a lot of effort into it, which makes me more likely to do it
