December was better than November and January has topped December. That's progress; however it's nothing like what I was doing a year go as far as the jogging is concerned. Last year I was prepping hard for the April 10K. This year the 10K is on March 28th and I just don't have the same motivation to train as I have had in the past. I'm a little heavier than I was last year. I also have a nagging knee injury left over from my November "Old Rag Mountain" hike that has been slow to heal. It doesn't hurt like it did in November & December. My slow man jogs don't appear to be making it worse, but I do still feel it. The plan is to keep the jogs easy for the next few weeks and start training harder during the last 4 weeks before the race. I'm doing good with my eating so far this year. Hopefully I'll shed a few more pounds before race day as well

Kel will wear the crown this year. After 4 years of edging closer and closer to my 10K times I am certain that she will take care of business this year. She has made jogging her thing all year. She may very well crack the 60 minute mark. I hope that she does. She is a senior in college. This could be our last Richmond 10K together.
