Bonnie, I would try it a bit longer. Most people need to start low and can add more magnesium over time. The chelated varieties (ending in -ate) cause fewer gut issues, Mg oxide is the worst (unless you are constipated and need it). Check your bottle to see if there are more varieties than glycinate in there.

Once when I had two broken toes, an old-timer said I needed to soak my feet in Epsom salts. Since I could not conceive how it could possibly work, I didn't try it for two weeks and miraculously the inflammation and pain were gone in an hour. Ever since I love to soak to relieve muscle pain & cramps after long hikes or days on my feet on concrete floors. It also clears up my dermatitis and plumps up my skin.
