When I first started taking Vitamin D (Thanks to Zuleikaa ) I took 12,000 IU per day at 1,000IU each pill. The pills were a large solid type pill and I found it hard to swallow so I searched and now never use anything else but the Carlson softgels 2000IU.

Now my search is on for the same 'tiny' softgel form of a calcium/ magnesium supplement? I did find a high dose of combined calcium/ magnesium in only 2 pills but again those pills are large solid type and hard to swallow.
A different option, the Bio D Forte liquid is 2,000 IU per drop. They come in the 1 ounce size which contains 720 drops for $18.00 from dcnutrition.com
