I have to count calories and walk 3-4 miles a day, at least 5 days a week. Plus fewer than 20 carbs/day and twice as much fat as protein.
The way I figure it is health is the most important thing. Without my health, I've got nothing.
The richest person in the world gets a better hospital bed, but that's about it and you can't Ctrl+Z or Undo all those donuts you ate in your life (or whatever your trigger is).
And it's working. In a couple of weeks I turn 74 and I'm on zero medications.
