There aren't a ton of high protein options. I think organic tofu would be a good choice. I also use Morningstar veggie meat (grillers and sausage patties are my favorite, although not gluten-free like I'm trying now). Cottage Cheese, plain yogurt (add your own flavors like vanilla and sweetener such as Stevia/Erythritol), string cheese, eggs, whey or egg protein shakes. I tend to eat moderate protein, not high, with enough fat to keep satiated.

As for the tofu, if it isn't organic, it will have a lot of pesticides/mold inhibitors.
Some people think tofu tastes strange, but I always make it the following way and it is delicious! It isn't completely low-fat though since I use some oil...

Tofu "scramble":
*Chop up a block of tofu in small pieces.
*Saute with olive oil, Mrs. Dash seasoning, spices (garlic, pepper, etc.)
*Add chopped mushrooms
*Add Teriyaki, probably a couple tablespoons--one at the beginning and one toward the end ( I use a gluten-free option)
*Add diced onion to taste.
*Saute until golden or lightly browned.

Let us know how it goes!
