Dr. Mathew Walker talks about losing sleep - not getting your daily 7-9 hours (he says he allots / allows 9 hours per night himself) - you can never make them up. Says naps help, but it will not catch you up for sleep lost, which makes sense, as the different levels of sleep are progressive, and the body works the brain differently during each level (my understanding).
